Answer:

Area of the square= 36 cm square

Area of the square= (Side)^2= 36

=> side = 6  cm

Perimeter of the square= 4xside=4X6 =24 cm

Perimeter of square=Perimeter of rectangle= 24 cm

Let the width of the rectangle= x cm

Then the length of the rectangle= 2x cm

therefore perimeter of rectangle= 2(length+width)

                                                     = 2(2x+x)= 2(3x)=6x

Now 6x= 24 cm

=> x= 24/6= 4 cm

Length= 2x4=8 cm

Thus length and width of rectangle= 8 and 4 cm respectively
