Given,

The coordinates of the four vertices of the square are E (-2,0) F (3,0) H(3,5) and I(-2,5).

To find,

The perimeter of the square.

Solution,

We can easily solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

The given geometrical figure is a square, so the lengths of the four sides of the square will be equal. So, we don't need to calculate the length of the individual four sides. Calculating length of any one side will be sufficient.

Length of the side EF :

= ✓(3+2)²+(0-0)²

= ✓25+0

= ✓25

= 5 units

(For verification purpose, the length of other three sides can be also calculated.)

Perimeter = 4 × Length of one side = 4×5 = 20 units

Hence, the perimeter of the square is 20 units.
