perimeter of square =4*side
40=4side
side = 10
area of square = side²=100
area of square=area of rectangle
100 =l×b
100=20b
b=100/20
b=5 cm
40=4side
side = 10
area of square = side²=100
area of square=area of rectangle
100 =l×b
100=20b
b=100/20
b=5 cm

☞ Given :-
- Perimeter of Square = 40cm
- Length (l) of Rectangle = 20cm
- Area of Square = Area of Rectangle
☞ To Find :-
- Breadth of Rectangle
☞ Solution :-
Now,
Perimeter of Square = 40cm. ----(given)
And,
We know that ,
✝ Perimeter of Square = 4a, where a = side of Sq.
So,
➥ 4a = 40
↦ a = 40/4 = 10cm
Hence,
Side(a) of Square = 10cm
We know that,
✝ Area of Square = a²
✝ Area of Rectangle = l × b
And,
It is given that,
➥ Area of Rectangle = Area of Square
↦ l × b = a²
↦ 20 × b = (10)²
↦ 20b = 100
↦ b = 100/20 = 5cm
Hence,
➥ Breadth of Rectangle = 5 cm
✎ More Formulas :-
Square⇘
- Area of Square = a²
- Perimeter of Square = 4a
- Diagonal of Square = √2a
Rectangle ⇘
- Area of Rectangle = l × b
- Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b)
- Diagonal = √l² + b²
