SOLUTION :

The perimeter of a square lawn = 72 m

To be found :-

The each side (length) of the square

The lawn is in square shape

About square :  A polygon having 4 equal sides

                         All interior angles = 90° each

Formula for area =  \bf{ a^{2} } unit sq.

Formula for perimeter = 4a unit

[ ∴ in which a is the side of of the square ]

Perimeter of square lawn = 72 m

⇒ 4a = 72

⇒ a = 72 ÷ 4

⇒ a = 18

Hence,

The side of the square lawn is 18 m

Given:
The perimeter of the square lawn = 72 m.

To find the length of the ground, we have to find the side or the length of the square.

As the lawn is in the square shape,

Perimeter of a square = 4a unit or (4 × sides)

As the Perimeter of the square lawn = 72 m

So,

=> 4a = 72

=> a = 72 ÷ 4

=> a = 18

Hence the side of the square lawn is 18 m
