Given :-

• Perimeter of the figure = 100cm.
• The figure is a Regular ten sided polygon.

• We know that perimeter refers to the length of the boundary of the figure which is calculated by adding the sides of the figure.

• A regular polygon is one in which all the sides are of equal length.

Hence,

The perimeter of a regular 10-sided polygon of side x cm will be :-

x + x + x + x + x + x + x + x + x + x = 100

Adding all the like terms in the LHS (Left Hand Side of the equation),

10x = 100

Therefore the linear equation will be :-

10x = 100

By transposing 10 to the RHS (Right Hand Side of the equation),

$x = \dfrac{100}{10}$

x = 10cm by solving the equation.
