Answer:

Perimeter = 104m

Length of non-parallel sides = 22m and 18m

Altitude(height) = 16m

The formula for the area of a trapezium is 1/2 * (sum of lengths of parallel sides) * altitude

Length of both the parallel sides= Perimeter - lengths of non-parallel sides = 104 - (22 + 18) = 64m

Area = 1/2 * 64 * 16 = 512 sq cm

Answer :

›»› The Area of trapezium is 512 m².

Given :

  • Perimeter of trapezium = 104 m
  • Non-parallel sides are 22 m and 18 m
  • Altitude of trapezium = 16 m

To Find :

  • Area of trapezium = ?

Formula Required :

  • Perimeter = a + b + c + d
  • Area of trapezium = ½ (Sum of parallel side) * Altitude

Required Solution :

Let,

The parallel sides of trapezium be x and y

→ Perimeter = a + b + c + d

→ 104 = x + y + 22 + 18

→ x + y = 104 - 40

x + y = 64

Now,

As we know that

→ Area of trapezium = ½ (Sum of parallel side) * altitude

→ Area = ½ * (x + y) * 16

→ Area = ½ * 64 * 16

→ Area = 1 * 32 * 16

→ Area = 32 * 16

Area = 512 m²

Hence, the Area of Trapezium is 512 m².
