area \: of \: trapezium \:  =  \frac{1}{2} h(a + b) \:  where \\  \: h  =  altitude \\ a  \: and \: b \:  =  length \: of \: parallel \: sides \\  \\ therefore \: a(trap) =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 16 \times (18 + 22) \\  \\  = 8 \times 40 = 320 \:  {cm}^{2}
