the perimeter of a Trapezium is 52 cm and its its non parallel side is equal to 10 cm and its height is 8 cm find the area of the trapezium

Given,

Non parallel sides = 10

Sum of non-parallel sides = 20 cm....

Also, perimeter = 52 cm...


(Sum of parallel sides)
+ (Sum of non parallel sides) = 52 cm...

Thus, Sum of parallel sides = 32 cm....

And, h = 8 cm....


Area = 1/2 * (Sum of parallel sides) * h

= (1/2) * 32 * 8

= 128 cm^2.....

:- 1/2× ( sum of pralel side) hight

So, (sum of pralel sides ) = 52 cm-10 cm-10 cm

= 32 cm

So. 1/2 {32}8

=1/2×32×8

=16×8

= 128
