The perimeter of a triangle is 5-3x+7y and two of its sides are 2y+3x-2 and 3y-x+3. Find the third side of the triangle.

From the first two we get,

x+3y=3x+2y-p

So

y=2x−2−>eqn1

Sub value ofy weget

x+3y=7x−6

and

4x+1/2y+1=4x+x−1+1=5x

Since both are equal

7x−6=5x

So

x=3

Subx=3ineqn1

y=4

So value of a side x+3y

=3+12=15units
