Let the sides of the triangle be
3x,4x and 5x
The perimeter = 72metres
As we know that,
sum of the sides of the triangle=perimeter
Therefore,
3x+4x+5x=72
12x=72
x=72÷12
x=6
Therefore, the first side= 3x =3×6= 18metres
The second side= 4x= 4×6= 24metres
The third side= 5x= 5×6 =30metres
So the longest side is the third side of 30 meters
