the perimeter of a triangle is 80 CM and it's sides are in the ratio 5:7:8can you compute the actual lengths of sides? what if the perimeter is 1m?

let the sides be 5x 7x and 8x

so, 80=5x+7x+8x

80=20x

80/20=x

4=x

5x=5×4=20cm

7x=7×4=28cm

8x=8×4=32cm

now,

perimeter=1m

1m=100cm

100cm=5x+7x+8x

100=20x

100/20=x

5=x

5x=5×5=25cm or 0.25m

7x=7×5=35cm or 0.35m

8x=8×5=40cm or 0.4m
