hey there!!

let the no. of person going on the picnic be x

than avg. age of x = 16

now , 20 persons added

than, x+20

x + 15(20)/20+x = 15.5

x + 300/20+x =15.5

x+300 = 15.5x + 310

14.5x = 10

x = 145

Answer :-

Let the number of people go in picnic be x.

Therefore,

The average number of x = 16

The 20 people added to the group

So,

It becomes

➡️ x + 20

ATQ

 = > \frac{x + 15(20)}{20 + x} = 15.5

 = > \frac{x + 300}{20 + x} = 15.5

 = > x + 300 = 15.5 + 310

 = > 14.5 = 10

 = > 14.5 = 10 = > x = \frac{14.5}{10} = 145
Therefore,

X = 145

Therefore,

145 people go on picnic.
