Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the perimeter is 240 and the sides are 78 and 50.you have to find the third side.So in order to find it you reduce the sum of the other two sides from the perimeter

Assume third side as x

240-(78+50)=x

240-118=x

=112.

So the formulae is herons formulae.i.e

√120(120-112)(120-78)(120-50)

=

so the answer is 1680

karmany007: IM SORRY BUT YOUR ANSWER IS WRONG
mathewthomas210: I am sorry u should use herons formulae
karmany007: JUST TO MAKE U HAPPY I MADE YOUR ANSWER THE BRAINLEST
mathewthomas210: Thank you
mathewthomas210: You should make it root of 120*(120-112)(120-78)(120-50)
karmany007: THANKS FOR YOUR COOPERATION
karmany007: ILL TRY IT RIGHT NOW
mathewthomas210: Sorru

Answer:

Perimeter = Sum of all sides

240= 78+50+third side

240=128+third side

third side=240-128=112

area= √s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

s=240/2 =120

area= √120 (120-112)(120-78)(120-50)

area=√120*8*42*70

√6*2*10*2*2*2*6*7*7*10

=6*2*2*10*7

=1680 cm²

karmany007: THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWER IT IS THE CORRECT METHOD
