Answer:

(a) 9000 square metres   (b) rs.45000

Step-by-step explanation:

given,ratio= 25:17:12

let it be 25x,17x,12x

acc. to problem, sum of sides(a+b+c)=540

25x+17x+12x=540

54x=540

x=540/54=10

hence, sides are 250m,170m,120m.

area= 9000 square metres

(finding area of the given triangular field,

s=(sides)/2=540/2=270

=√(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

=√(270(270-250)(270-170)(270-120)

=√(270(20)(100)(150)

=√81000000= 9000)

cost of ploughing= 5*9000

                             = rs. 45000
