Answer:

Let the length of a side of the equilateral triangle and the square be l and L respectively.

Then, according to the given information, we have

Perimeter of equilateral triangle=42

⇒l+l+l=42

⇒3l=42

⇒l=14.

So, the length of a side of the square will be

L=2×l=2×14=28.

Therefore, the perimeter of the square is given by

Ps=4L=4×28=112

=4L=4×28=112.

Thus, the required perimeter of the square is 112 cm.

Given :- The first, second and third class railway fares in the ratio between two stations are in the ratio as 6 : 4 : 1

the number of passenger of the three classes are 2 : 5 : 50.

To Find :- Total collection from each class.

Solution :-

Let first, second, third class fare, 6x,4x,x respectively.

Let number of the passenger of first, second, third be 2y,5y,50y respectively.

Total fare =

6x × 2y + 4x × 5y + x ×50y = 12xy + 20xy + 50xy

82xy = 12300 = xy=150

Total collection from 1st class = 12xy = 12 × 150 = 1800

2nd class = 20xy = 20 × 150 = 3000

3rd class = 50xy = 50 × 150 = 7500

Hence,Total collection from each class are ₹1800, ₹3000, ₹7500.

Hence the answer is ₹1800, ₹3000 and ₹7500.
