the perimeter of an equilateral triangle is 42 cm. Find the perimeter of a square. Each side of which is double the side of the triangle.

marie3: Let , the side of triangle be the x . so the perimeter of triangle will be x + x + x = 42 . so after calculation x = 12 . Now it is given that the side of square is double than side of triangle. so side of square will be 2x . now perimeter of squre = 2x+ 2x + 2x + 2x =2(12) +2(12) +2(12)+2(12) = 96 . so the final answer is 96 that is the perimeter of square is 96. I hope it will help you.

Perimeter of equilateral triangle = 3×side

42 = 3×side

42/3 = side

side = 14cm

Side of triangle is 14cm

Then, The side of square be 2×14 = 28cm

Perimeter of square = 4×side

= 4×28

= 112cm
