Given,

The perimeter of the equilateral triangle = 6 centimetres.

For, calculating the area of the given equilateral triangle,we have to first calculate the length of one side of the given equilateral triangle.

So,

The length of the one side of the triangle = 6/3 = 2 centimetres. (Because, equilateral triangle has 3 same sides.)

Now,we have to calculate the area of the given equilateral triangle,by using the following mathematical formula ;

Area = √3/4 × (side)² = √3/4 × (2)² = ✓3  = 1.73 cm² (approx.)

Hence,the approximate area of the given equilateral triangle is 1.73 cm².
