10+x+x=28

2x=28-10
x=18÷2
×=9

given the base of the isosceles triangle is 10cm.

perimeter of the isosceles triangle is 28cm.

we know that in an isosceles triangle two sides have equal length and if it's base is 10cm then the length of those sides are:-

let the length of one of the equal side of the isosceles triangle be x.

perimeter of the triangle=28cm

→ sum of all sides=28cm

→ x+x+10=28cm

→ 2x+10=28cm

→ 2x=28-10

→ 2x=18

→ x=18/2

→ x=9

hence the length of the both sides is 9cm as both have equal length.

★ verification:-

perimeter of triangle=sum of all sides

= 9 + 9 + 10

= 18 + 10

= 28

hence verified...
