the perimeter of an isosceles triangle is 42 cm and it's base is 3/2 times each of its equal sides. find the length of each sides of the triangle, area of the triangle and the height corresponding to its longest side.

According to question:-

x + x + 3/2 x = 42 cm

2 x + 3/2 x = 42 cm

LCM :-

4 + 3 / 2 x= 42 cm

7/2 x = 42 cm

x= 42 * 2 / 7

x = 12 cm

therefore, length of equal side are 12 cm

and length of base = 3*12/2

                                = 18 cm
