Question :–

The perimeter of equilateral triangle is 60m then what is the area.

Given :–

  • Perimeter of an equilateral triangle = 60 m

To Find :–

  • Area of an equilateral triangle.

Solution :–

Let, the side of an equilateral triangle be a

So,

→ 3a = 60 m

→ a =  \sf \frac{\cancel{60}}{\cancel{3}}

→ a = 20 m

  • Area of an equilateral triangle =  \sf \frac{3}{4} {(a)}^{2}

  \sf\frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4}  \times  {(20)}^{2}

 \sf \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{ \cancel4}  \times 20 \times  \cancel{20}

  \sf\sqrt{3}  \times 20 \times 5

 \sqrt{3}  \times 100

 \sf100 \sqrt{3}  \:  {m}^{2}

We know that,

√3 = 1.732 (approx.)

So,

→ 1.732 × 100

→ 173.2  \: \sf {m}^{2}
