Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

2a + b =42

B= 42- 2a ...…....... (1)

B= 2/3(2a)................ (2)

42- 2a = 2/3 (2a)

4a= 3(42-2a)

4a= 126-6a

10a = 126

A = 12.6cm

B= 16.8 cm

anukritisachan: 2a + b= 42
anukritisachan: B= 42-2a
anukritisachan: B = 2/3(2a). = (42-2a)3/2

Let the equal sides be 'a' units each

The base be 'b' units

Perimeter = sum of all sides = a+a+b

=2a+b

2a+b = 42

Then, it is given that b =2/3 times the sum of the equal sides.

This gives, b=2/3 × 2a

b= 4a/3....(i)

Substituting (i) in the eq.

2a+4a/3= 42

On solving, we get 10a/3 = 42

Which gives, a = 12.6 units

Therefore 12.6+12.6+b = 42

25.2+b=42

b=42-25.2

b=16.8 units
