hey..

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
70 = 2(l+l-5)
70/2 = 2l-5
35+5 = 2l
l = 40/2
l = 20

b = 20-5
= 15

Area of rectangle = l x b
= 20 x 15
= 300cm^2

Here is your answer.

Let the Length is x cm
Breadth = x - 5 cm

As we know the formula
Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(length + Breadth)
70 = 2(x + x - 5) \\ \\   \frac{70}{2}  = 2x - 5 \\  \\ 35 + 5 = 2x \\  \\ 2x = 40 \\  \\ x =  \frac{40}{2}  \\  \\ x = 20
Length = 20 cm

Breadth = 20 - 5 = 15 cm

Now
Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

= 20 × 15

 = 300 {cm}^{2}

Therefore, Area is 300 {cm}^{2}
