Let Breadth of rectangle be X cm.

Length of rectangle = ( 5X - 4 ) cm.

Perimeter of rectangle = 4000 cm

2 ( Length + Breadth ) = 4000 cm.

2 ( 5X - 4 + X ) = 4000

2 ( 6X - 4 ) = 4000

6X - 4 = 2000

6X = 200 + 4

6X = 2004

X = 204/6

X = 334 cm

Breadth of rectangle = X = 334 cm.

And,

Length of rectangle = 5X - 4 = 1666 cm.

Let the length of it's breadth be x cm and then length will be ( 5x - 4 ) cm [ 4 cm less than 5 times of x ]

Given,Perimeter of rectangle = 40 m = 4000 cm

We Know, Perimeter of rectangle is 2( length + breadth )

So, 2[ x + ( 5x - 4 ) ] = 4000

=> x + 5x - 4 = 2000

=> 6x = 2000 + 4

=> 6x = 2004

=> x = 2004 / 6

=> x = 334

Hence,Breadth = x = 334 cm and length = 5( 334 ) - 4 = 1666 cm
