Answer:

Let the breadth of the rectangular swimming pool be x m and the length be (2x+2)[ given in the question].

Applying the formula of perimeter of a rectangle -

2 (length + breadth)

→ 2 (2x + 2 + x)

→ 2 (3x + 2)

→ 6x + 4

According to the question -

Perimeter = length × breadth

→ 154 = 6x + 4

→ 6x = 154 - 4

→ 6x = 150

→ x = 150/6

x = 25

  • Breadth = 25 m.
  • Length = 2x + 2 = 2 × 25 + 2 = 52 m.

Therefore, the length of the rectangular swimming pool is 52 m and breadth is 25 m.

Answer:

Given,

Perimeter=154 m

Let breadth be = n

Length = 2+2 n

Perimeter of rectangle = 2( length+ breadth)

154 =2(2+2n+n)

154 = 2(2+3n)

154. = 4+6n

154-4 = 6 n

150=6n

150/6 = n

25 = n

Length=2+2n

=2+2×25

=52 m

Breadth=25 m

Hope it helps.........
