the perimeter of sq is 44 cm the perimeter of rectangle is equal to the perimeter of this square the length of the rectangle is 5 cm more then the side of square the sum of areas (in cm square) of the square and the rectangle is?

44=4s

s=11cm

area of square = s^2

= 11^2

=121cm^2

the side of rectangle are

length = s +5

11+5

= 16 cm

p of rectangle = 2(l+b)

44cm= 2 (16+b)

44/2 =16+b

22-16 =b

b= 6 cm

area of rectangle= l*b

= 16*6

= 96 cm^2

total area = 96 + 121

= 217 cm^2
