Perimeter of square=48m

Area of rectangle =48+4=52m

Length of rectangle = 20m

Area=L×B

52=20×B

52/20=B

2.6=B

So length of given rectangle is 2.6 m

Answer:

  • Question :

the perimeter of square is 48m.The area of a rectangle is 4 square meter less than the area of the given square. If the length of rectangle is 20m find breadth

  • Solution :

Perimeter of square = 48m

Area of rectangle = 48 + 4 = 52m

Length of rectangle = 20 m

Area = length x breadth

20 x breadth = 52

Breadth = 52/20

Breadth = 2.6 m
