P.of square=4*side
∴56=4×side
∴side=56÷4=14

∴A.of square=(side)²
                   =(14)²=196

A.of rectangle= A.of square-8
                      =196-8=188

A.of rectangle=l×b
            188    =16×b
∴   b=188÷16=11.75
                      ≈12

∴Breadth of rectangle is 12m.

shammu2: thanks so much
