Given p is equal to 17m

l is equal to 5m

p,= 2(l+b)

17=2(5+b)

17=10+2b

17-10=2b

7=2b

7÷2=b

3.5=b

l=5

b=3.5

area =l×b

area=5×3.5

A=17.5

_____________________________

Perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

Perimeter =17 metres

Length=5 metres

Breadth=b

17= 2(5+b)

17= 10+2b

2b=17-10

2b=7

b=7/2

b=3.5metres

Hence breadth of the room is 3.5 metres
