perimeter of rectangular = 2(l+b) = 46m
height = 3.5m
Area for 4 walls = 2(l+b)h
                          = 46*3.5 = 161m²

The area of the of the walls of the room is "161 m^{2}".

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

The perimeter of the floor of a room = 46 m and

The height(h) = 3.5 m.

To find, the area of the of the walls of the room = ?

We know that,

The perimeter of rectangular room = 2(l+b)

Where, l = length and b =breadth

∴ 2(l+b) = 46                             ....(1)

The area of the of the walls of the room = 2(l + b) × h

= 46 × 3.5 m^{2}

= 161 m^{2}

Hence, the area of the of the walls of the room is "161 m^{2}".
