let's width of rectangle = x

length. =3x+7

perimeter of rectangle =158cm

2(l+b)=158

2(3x+7+x)=158

2(4x+7)=158

8x+14=158

8x=158-14

x=144/8

x=18cm

so. width =18

length =3x18+7

=54+7=61cm

area of rectangle =lxb.

=61x18

=1098cm^2
