The breadth of the rectangle is 4 cm.

Given:

The perimeter of the rectangle is 28 cm and the length is 10 cm.

To Find:

The breadth of the rectangle.

Solution:

To find the breadth of the rectangle we will follow the following steps:

As we know,

Perimeter is the circumference or boundary of geometry and is equal to the sum of all the sides of the figure.

So,

The perimeter of the rectangle = 2 (length + breadth).

Now,

Putting the values in the above equation we get,

28 cm = 2 (10 + breadth)

28 cm = 20 + 2 × breadth

28 - 20 = 2 × breadth

8 = 2 × breadth

Breadth =

 \frac{8}{2}  = 4cm

Henceforth, the breadth of the rectangle is 4cm.
