We have given length of Rectangle which is 64cm

One of Diagonal is given which is 80cm

To Find

we have to find the perimeter of Rectangle

We know the formula to find out the perimeter of Rectangle

Perimeter of Rectangle=2(length+ breadth)

Formula for finding Diagonal

D²=l²+b²

b²= D²-l²---(1)

Solving for p(perimeter)

=>perimeter = 2l+2(√d²-l²) [from Equation 1]

=>Perimeter of Rectangle= 2×64+2×√(80)²-(64)²

=>perimeter of Rectangle= 128+2×√6400-4096

=>Perimeter of Rectangle= 128+2×√2304

=>Perimeter of Rectangle=128+2×48

=>Perimeter of Rectangle=128+96=224cm

Extra information=>

Perimeter is the total distance occupy by a solid 2D figure around its edge.

Properties of Rectangle:

  • A rectangle is a type of quadrilateral.
  • Opposite sides are parallel & equal
  • Sum of all Interior angles makes 360°
  • Diagonals bisects each other and both diagonals are of same length.
