Perimeter of two triangles are 12 cm and 24 cm.

And one the side of first triangle is 3 cm.

We have to find the corresponding side of the second triangle.

Let the -

  • corresponding side of second triangle be x.

\sf{According \:to\:question}

Let the ratio of two triangles be "a" and "b" and their corresponding side be "c" and "d".

So,

=> \dfrac{a}{b}\:=\:\dfrac{c}{d}

And we have given that ..

a = 12 cm, b = 24 cm, c = 3 cm and d = x cm

Substitute these values above

=> \dfrac{12}{24}\:=\:\dfrac{3}{x}

=> \dfrac{1}{2}\:=\:\dfrac{3}{x}

Cross multiply them

=> x\:=\:2(3)

=> x\:=\:6

•°• Corresponding side of the second triangle is 6 cm.
