The perimeter of two squares are in the ratio 8:5, find the ratio between the length of their sides.

Let the side of squares be a and b

According to question
P1:P2 = 8:5
4a/4b = 8/5
=> a/b = 8/5
=> a:b = 8:5

Required ratio = 8:5

let perimeter of 2 squares be 8,5 4×s1=8and4×s2=5s1=2and s2=1.25 s1:s2=2:1.25 200:125=8:5 so answer is 8:5
