perimeter of the rectangle =2(l+b)

=2(12+6)

. =2×18

. =36sq.cm

Since the perimeter of square and rectangle are same (given)

perimeter of square=36 sq.cm

. 4a=36

. a=36/4=9 cm

The length of the side of the square =9 cm
