The perimeters of two squares are 40 and 96 metres respectively. Find the perimeter of another
square equal in area to the sum of the first two squares.

Perimeter of 1st square=40
Side of 1st square= 40/4
= 10
Are of 1st square= 10*10=100

Perimeter of 2nd square=96
Side of 2nd square=96/4 = 24
Area of 2nd square= 24*24 =576

Area of 3rd square= Sum of area of 1st 2 squares
=100+576
=676
Side of 3rd square = root 676
= 26
Perimeter of 3rd square= 26*4
= 104
