perimeter of rectangle = 2(length+breadth)
76 = 2(length+16)
length = (38-16)
length = 22cm

& in case if the length doubled, than perimeter will
perimeter = 2(2(length)+breadth)
= 2(2(22)+16)
= 2(44+16)
= 2(60)
= 120cm

Let the length of the rectangle be l
then
2(l+b)= perimeter of the rectangle
2(l+16)=76
l+16=38
l=38-16=22
hence length of the rectangle=22cm

If the length is is doubled that is if it becomes 44cm
then perimeter of the rectangle
=2(44+16)
=2×60
=120cm

Hope it helps
