Given :  f(z)=tan z

To Find  : Period

a) π

b) 2π

c) π/2

d) π/3

Solution:

Period of a function is the interval at which  function returning to the same value.

if p is the period of a function f(x)

=> f(x + p) = f(x)

Period of  tanx  is  π

Period of tan ( ax)    =   π/a

Tan ax = Tan(a(x + π/a)  = Tan(ax + π)  = Tan ax

hence period of tan z  = π
