Given,

The perpendicular distance between the two conductors of 12m each is 0.15 cm. they carry 300A in the same direction.

To find,

the force acting between them.

we know, if two parallel wires carrying currents in the same direction is attracted by force , F = μi₁i₂l/2πr

here, μ is permeability of medium i.e., μ = 4π × 10^-7 N/A² , i₁ = i₂ = 300A , r = 0.15 cm = 0.0015 m and l = 12 m

now force between them, F = (4π × 10^-7 × 300 × 300 × 12)/(2π × 0.0015)

= (18 × 10⁴ × 10^-7 × 12)/( 15 × 10¯⁴)

= 180 × 12/15

= 144 N

Therefore wires attract each other by a force 144 N.
