The pH of neutralization point of 0.1 mole ammonium Hydroxide (NH₄OH) with 0.1 mole hydrochloric acid, HCl can be calculated as follows.

First you need to write down the chemical equation for the reaction of 0.1 mole ammonium hydroxide and 0.1 mole hydrochloric acid.

The equation for the reaction is; NH₄OH + HCl ⇒ NH₄Cl + H₂0

so the mole ratio is 1:1:1:1 meaning that the moles of ammonium hydroxide is also 0.1 hence pOH= -log 0.1

                        pOH= 1.0

Hence pH= 14 - 1

         pH= 13.0
