Answer:

a) Solution A is the most acidic.

Solution C is the most basic.

b) Solution C < Solution B < Solution D < Solution A

c) On dipping moist blue litmus paper in Solution A, it turns from blue to red.

On dipping moist litmus paper in Solution D, its colour remains unchanged.

Explanation:

pH of 7 is Neutral and has no effect on Moist Litmus Paper.

pH of less than 7 is Acidic. Acids turn Moist Blue Litmus Paper Red. The concentration of H+ ions keep increasing in acids from 7 to 1. The Acidic Nature also increases from 7 to 1.

pH of more than 7 is Basic. Bases turn Moist Red Litmus Paper Blue. The concentration of OH- ions keep increasing in bases from 7 to 14. The Basic Nature also increases from 7 to 14.
