Answer: Acid Rain is the correct answer.

Explanation:

Statues and structures are built with the help of marble and limestone.

Marble Cancer is a situation where these statutes and structure suffer from corrosion because of sulfuric acid and nitric acid. The presence of sulfuric dioxide and nitrogen dioxide in the air gets collected on these statutes and structures. These oxides turn into respective oxides once they absorb moisture from the air. This leads to corrosion .

During rainfall the oxides of sulphur and nitrogen react with rain water and converts into acid rain. When such rain falls on monuments it combines with the calcium present in the structure to form salt.

Mable cancer leads to yellowish color of structures and also disintegrate.

Taj Mahal is a case of marble cancer because of which it is losing it`s shine.

Hope this helps.
