\huge\mathfrak{Answer:}

Since the concrete mixture that is to be used to build up the pillars is going to occupy the entire space of the pillar, what we need to find here is the volume of the cylinders.

Radius of base of a cylinder = 20cm

Height of the cylindrical pillar = 10 m = 1000 cm

So,

Volume of each cylinder =\pi \: r {}^{2} h

= 22/7 × 20 × 20 × 1000 cm3

= 22/7 × 20 × 20 × 1000 cm3” = 8800000/7 cm3

= 22/7 × 20 × 20 × 1000 cm3” = 8800000/7 cm3” = 8.8/7 m3 (Since 1000000 cm3 = 1 m3)

Therefore, volume of 14 pillars = volume of each cylinder × 14

= 8.8 × 14

= 17.6 m3

So, 14 pillars would need 17.6 m3 of concrete mixture.

Answer: Radius of cylindrical shaped pillar = 20cm

Height = 10m = 1000cm

Therefore

Volume = πr^2h

= 22/7×20×20×1000 cm^3

= 1257142.86 cm^3

1 pillar is made of 1257142.86 cm^3 of mixture

Therefore 14 pillars are made of (1257142.86×14) cm^3

= 17600000 cm^3
