If yes, why de feed on insects"?

The insectivorous plants grow in soil which do not contain sufficient nitrogen mineral. ... So, insectivorous or carnivorous plants feed on insects to obtain the nitrogen needed for their growth.

hey friend....pitcher plants can do photosynthesis......Pitcher plants and other carnivorous plants trap and digest insects ....to obtain vital nitrogen...most plant absorb enough nitrogen from nitrates in soil...thnx...keep questioning...have a nice day dear..
