HEY MATE HERE IS YOUR ANSWER,,,,,,,,,,,,

The poem opens on a dramatic note it attracts our attention At Once by particular use of diction the poet says that 6 humans get trapped by chance in a very bitter cold he uses human and not people so as to refer to all human beings.do the 6 person were together in a situation which seems to have been arranged even though it was accidental that is why the poet has used the word happenstance and event that is arranged the 6 person were in the situation from which there was no escape they were sitting near the fire which was fast dying.each of them had a stick of wood this is how it is told in the story we later realise that the stick in his hand is a symbol of SIN. the fire which was dying needed to be fed with logs of wood the first of the group was the man who was not ready to renounce his stick of wood to keep the fire burning because he had notified that one of them was a black he did not want to save the black does he acted out of a racial prejudice. the next one found in the group was a person not belonging to his religion he could not prejudice himself to give up his tricks for a person to help of another religion he suffered from intolerance.third man was a very poor man he was in Tattered clothes he was full of bitterness and Envy for the rich "he gave his coat a hitch" which is suggestive of his tightness he thought it would be an just to give to give what little he had to help others who had more than he so he held his stick back.the Rich man continued to sit back and think of the money he had and how he could save it from the lazy poor he did not want to give anything to the undeserving power does he showed his greed and stinginess.the black mans face showed how much revengeful he was as the fire was dying he thought he thought he had the chance to hurt the white people by keeping his stick with him he clearly suffered from the vice of spite.the last man in the group lack generosity as no one else had given his stick he would also keep his stick with him in fact he did nothing except for gain.as the fire extinguished all the person died date did not because of the cold outside but because of the cold within their dad because they were too selfish to help them others each of them had a log still in his in his hand suggesting that no one had renounced ceiling being unkind for one reason or the other.

James Patrick Kinney successfully used literary fictions and narratives to indicate his point of view on the lives and actions of people. James Kinney suffered a massive heart attack in 1948, followed by a series of strikes. Everyone in the poem seems to "give only to the one" who gives them social approval by belonging to the same class credo or color.

With the increasing polarization of modern society, which is precisely the fault line, it could also be our last chance to protect the dying fire.
