The poinsettia or the ‘Flower of the Holy Night’ is a traditional Christmas flower which was brought to America by Joel Poinsett in 1829. It was really grown in Mexico. In southern Mexico it is known as 'Taxco del Alarcon' .Special types of leaves known as bracts it is used to make a purple dye for clothes
