x = 10/2 - 3y/2 , or

x = 5 -3y/2…(1)

3x+2y = 5, or

3x = 5–2y, or

x = (5/3)-2y/3 …(2)

Equate (1) and (2)

5 -3y/2 = (5/3)-2y/3 or

30–9y =10 -4y, or

5y = 20, or y = 4.

From (2), x = (5/3)-(8/3) = (-3/3) = -1
