Given : The point of intersection of the two ogives of a data is (30, 60)  

To find :  Median of Data

Solution:

The less than ogive curve gives cumulative frequency (probability) for x ≤ a.

The more than ogive curve gives cumulative frequency (probability) for x ≥ a.

cumulative frequency will be 50% of the total at intersection of the more than ogive and less than ogive

which is Median

As we know that Median is middle data when data is arranged ascending/descending

so  cumulative frequency will be 50%  at Median

as intersection point = (30 , 60)

x - axis generally show the Median Values

y - axis shows cumulative frequency

Hence 30 is the median

& 60 Show 50% cumulative frequency => 120 is total frequency
