Unanimity in Decision-Making policy creates obstacles to the SAARC's (South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation) progress.

We Know the regional member nations have so many issues and disputes among themselves which creates hurdles in decision-making as decisions are to be taken unanimously and thus the unanimity in decision making creates obstacles in the progress of SAARC.

The policy that has created difficulties to SAARC’s (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) progress is Unanimity in Decision Making.

Its policy says: “decisions at all levels has to be taken on the base of unanimity."

But it has been established tough for member states to come to a unanimous agreement on vital issues and thus it is hindering the progress of SAARC.
