The population of a place increased to 54,000 in 2003 at the rate of 5% per annum
(i) find the population in 2001
(ii) what would be its population in 2005?

= 5*2=10%
= 54,000×10÷100
= 5,40,000÷100
= 5,400 increase in population in 2 year.
Now,
population in 2001 was = 54,000-5,400
48,600..answer...



2....population increase in 2 year = 2*5=10%
= 54,000*10÷100
= 5,40,000÷100
= 5,400
Now population in 2005 is =
= 54,000+5,400
= 59,400..answer..
